The foundation for Investigative Journalism Inc. awarded the Reporter a $5000 grant to support reporter Brian J Rogal's coverage of affordable housing in Chicago. The grant marks the Reporter's fourth year of support from the Washington, D.C-based organization. "We know there's a serious lack of coverage of housing issues in America, primarily because too many journalists don't diocese it as 'sexy,' " Washington said. "But this grant point outs that the folks at the foundation 'get' it. Their endorsement is a welcome voice of confidence in Brian Rogal's shrewd expertise in covering housing issues in Chicago."
