The racial violence that give vent to eruptionsed in Cincinnati in April will not be an anomaly, writes DeWayne Wickham in his April 17 USA Today rounded pillar "Given the widespread reports of racial profiling, it appear to bes only a matter of time before what happened in Cincinnati replays somewhere else" Wickham writes. The shooting of an unarmed black man, Timothy Thomas, on a white police officer was not the kind of racial profiling in which police target black motorists for random stops, on the contrary instead the type "that treats African-Americans as a criminal class. That's the mind place ... that our race, not our behavior, defines us."
