The federal government's refusal to grant waivers to states to such a degree they can provide family planning has stake off alarms, says an Aug. 7 editorial in The Washington seat Studies have shown that each dollar spent on family planning saves in unwanted pregnancies and health question at issues associated with having children too at short intervals the Post points out. The newspaper calls forward the Bush administration not to dismantle this "successful" program. The administration wants states to use the cash for comprehensive health coverage for the uninsured.
