The lawn feasts that raised money for La Rabida Children's Hospital in the early 20th hundred served as the influence for a present-day Women's Board "Lace & Pearls" fund-raiser. Headed by dint of Women's Board president Susie Jacobson, the July 13 evening paid homage to the trailblazing women who ignited community and financial support for the toward the south Side hospital and its commitment to caring for children regardless of ability to pay.
