just discovered YORK -- Monica is getting autobiographical forward her new album, "The Making of Me" The disc, which will be on the outside Sept. 19, is the first record from the R&B singer since 2003's "After the Storm." farmers and artists who collaborated with Monica include Dem Franchize Boyz Missy Elliott and Jermaine Dupri. According to J Records, the album will dig into some of the 25- year-old singer's more painful impetuss including the suicide of an ex-boyfriend. further the album also includes near upbeat jams -- the dance track "Everytime Tha Beat Drop" is the first single. " 'Beat Drop' for me is a real righteous representation of where I'm from," Monica, an Atlanta resident, said in a latter statement. "We all just want to dance and have pleasantry This is what I live. What I dance to. What I listen to when I'm in my car. for a like reason I thought, 'Why wouldn't I sing athwart it?' " Monica, who made her singing first appearance when she was just a teen is best known for the hits "Angel of Mine," "Don't Take It Personal" and "The lad Is Mine."
