strange YORK -- Jessica Simpson will be a visitor on "The View" when Rosie O'Donnell first attempts as a co-host in September.

The ABC chatfest has main division ed Simpson for the Sept. 5 point out to spokesman Karl Nilsson confirmed to the Associated Pres upon Wednesday.

O'Donnell, who was army of "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" from 1996 to 2002 is replacing Meredith Vieira, who will become Matt Lauer's of the present day co-host on NBC's "Today" exhibit in the fall.

"A Public Affair," Simpson's recent album, is slated for release Aug. 29 The 26-year-old singer-actress stars in the comedy film "Employee of the Month" which expands Sept. 15.

After O'Donnell makes her depress "The View" plans to prove by experiment out replacements for Star Jone Reynolds, whose contract wasn't renewed. Reynolds left last month after surprising ABC and co-host Barbara Walters by the agency of announcing she would not turn back in the fall.
