BLOOMINGTON -- A man prosecutors accused of wanting to kill to finish his name in the novels and whose bizarre courtroom behavior included profanity-laced eruptions that called his mental fitness into question pleaded guilty Friday to killing an Illinois State University learner last year. Maurice Wallace, 28 was in court onward charges that he tried to kill a McLean shire jail officer during an escape attempt as he awaited trial in the death of Olamide Adeyooye of suburban Berkeley. Her dead body was found in a Mississippi chicken house in October, eight days after she was last seen moreover after being admonished by the umpire and sent into a hallway to quiet down, Wallace returned to plead guilty to all the charges against him -- including attempted homicide aggravated battery, assault with a deadly weapon and attempted escape -- in exchange for a opinion of natural life plus 50 years in prison. When McLean shire Judge Scott Drazewski asked Wallace whether he understood that his plea would detain him behind bars for the remainder of his life, Wallace replied, "Yeah, can't wait." His attorney said that the plea agreement was "an embodiment of our client's wishes." Wallace was unwilling to have any of the charges against him dropp and agreed that the manslaughter was brutal and heinous.
