Commonwealth Edison will receive 24 percent of a rate increase it askinged -- $8.3 million as oppos to $3455 million in of recent origin annual revenue -- the Illinois trade Commission ruled. The increase will bring operating income to $1.7 billion in 2007 as oppos to $2 billion. The ICC vot unanimously Wednesday, further didn't release final figures until Friday. The five commissioners discarded ComEd's projected costs in a number of areas, including the price of capital, uncollectible debt, charitable donations and ad costs The rate increase masks only electricity-delivery costs, and accounts for about 30 percent of a customer's bill; consumers' outlay of electricity will be determined by dint of a September auction.
