Week after week, the same faces on a sudden up in the celebrity magazines, photographed forward red carpets for seemingly random circumstances An obscure awards ceremony? A suspicious-sounding charity gala? A launch party for a modern phone?

Do celebrities really ne to work this hard? And who is Bai Ling, anyway?

The actress is best known for parts in movies such as "Anna and the King" (1999) and "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" (2004) yet it's not really enough to warrant the coverage she's received.

"Bai Ling's no other than demonstrable skill set thus far appears to be getting photographed in all of the right places," says Denise Dorman, the head of Chicago-based WriteBrain Media, a marketing communications firm. "But she's creating a very strange buzz."

Dorman, who has worked with "D-list" celeb says, "Ye it's absolutely necessary to work that hard to stay in succession the 'A-list.' " Ling is doing the right thing, accepting each invitation that comes her way. "She has a smart support a whole behind her, getting her all of the right r carpet invitations and photo ops"

"In Hollywood all publicity is proper even when it's bad," says Robert Smith, the holder of Loves Park-based Robert Smith & Associates PR and the author of Million Dollar Pres Releases. "Just ask Paris Hilton."
