WASHINGTON -- The world's oceans contain many more shadows of microorganisms than had been idea scientists report.
"Microbiologists have formally described 5000 microbial species," said Mitchell Sogin of the Marine Biological Laboratory at copses Hole, Mass.
"We discovered more than 20000 in a single liter of seawater, having wait fored just 1,000 to 3,000."
