Rather than whites trying to erase history, the furor above Meeks' remarks is driven by dint of the double-standard that has sprung up from one side of to the other who is allowed to use the word.

If whites are going to be inciteed out of careers over their use of the word, they are going to be outraged when blacks use the word with immunity.

All you have to do is Google "nigger" to behold that white racists embrace this word with the enthusiasm of black rappers. The and nothing else difference is white racists are stirring up hate while black rappers are getting rich from exploiting that hate.
