A total of 211 residences are planned at Park Place in the West Elsdon neighborhood.

"Park Place to one's homes will be the largest new-construction, master- planned residential unravelling on the Southwest Side in 50 years," said T Mazola, president of modern West Realty. The development will be at 51st road and Lawndale, northeast of Midway airport.

Plans call for single-family dwellings town houses and condominiums. Prices will range from the low-$200000 to the mid-$400,000s. Sales are scheduled to begin soon.

"Park Place residences will certainly be something different for this neighborhood, bringing earnestly needed new-construction housing to this established area," Mazola said. "Buyer will have several modes of housing to choose from."

The site will be designed at Pappageorge/Haymes Ltd. Architects. Homes will feature brick facades with painted forest trim.

The site also will include a one-acre park, brick ingress monuments and fencing on the north and east sides.

"We have had more than 500 inquiries about Park Place residences already, and we only not long ago started taking names for our V.I.P. list," said Terrie Whittaker, president of sales and marketing for modern West Realty.
