An ex-con suspected of killing a Homewood furniture salesman revolveed himself in to Miami police Friday, les than five hours after police identified him as the shooter

Brandon Antron Rolle -- on the outside of prison just two month -- walked into a Miami police station with his mother and six relatives Friday afternoon and was later taken to the city's main jail, held for the manslaughter of Ronald Gentile, said Detective Delrish Mos

"I'm glad he's not on the streets," said Colleen Gentile, the widow of the victim. "I've been praying they would gain him."

Gentile's assassination last Saturday shocked Miami and left Gentile's Chicago area family reeling. Gentile, a 54-year-old former actor, had left Homewood to visit his teenage son in Miami. After dropping his son not upon at work, he got missed and stopped to ask for directions in the city's Coconut thicket neighborhood. As he rolled down the window of his rental car, a man ball him and took his diamond ring, his gold bracelet and his wallet.

The shooting stunn Gentile's family, including his 17-year-old son Paul Gentile. Family members from the Chicago area flew to Miami and joined Paul going door-to-door, seeking information forward the killing and handing without fliers.

FOUR crime CONVICTIONS

"It's a tremendous comfort to know that this man will be taken against the streets," Gentile's ex-wife Cathy Gleber-Girten said Friday after Rolle was identified as the shooter Gleber-Girten lives in the Miami area, and Gentile had been staying at her house, where his son also lived.

Rolle has an extensive criminal record consisting of 13 arrests and four crime convictions, Moss said. His heinous crime convictions include robbery, possession of cocaine with intent to barter battery of a law enforcement officer and aggravated assault. "He's no stranger to police," Mos said.

Rolle had just finished a 17-month doom on June 3.

Colleen Gentile said she possibility of goods Rolle's surrender can lead to a certain quantity of good in Coconut Grove, described from Moss as an older section of Miami with as well-as; not only-but also; not only-but; not alone-but poor and prosperous residents.
