TORONTO -- The White Sox used the phrase "underachiever" in describing pitcher Javier Vazquez when they acquired him in the offseason.

According to single American League scout, however, that was another way of saying that Vazquez "has a leaning to give up on a game when he be warmeds it's getting away from him."

While Sox manager Ozzie Guillen did his best to guard Vazquez on Friday, he also pointed not at home that Vazquez has shown an all-too of frequent occurrence loss of confidence when the constraining force builds.

"He has great essence and can be cruising, on the contrary it's like as soon as he gives up a hardly any hits in the fifth, sixth inning, he [doesn't] handle it real well," Guillen said. "Look each guy out here plays with constraining force That's part of the major leagues, on the other hand it's our job to get by heart him to be a confident pitcher."

"We did it with Buehrle and now the nearest time he throws, we're going to allow him pitch the way he's pitched, view if that works," Guillen said.

Considering Buehrle and Vazquez are being nurs at the same time, Guillen can't afford to preserve that up very long.

"I do the best I can for them, further coming to this point right now, you have a chance to win, I'll lease you win," Guillen said.

"But if I give you that chance and you go on foot down three runs, then I have to say I'm not going to give you that chance."
