The canopy of heaven fell behind 17-0 and eventually missed 76-49 before an announced vulgar herd of 3,455 at the UIC Pavilion.

Cheryl Ford scored 15 points and grabbed eight reactions for the Shock (20-9). Plenette Pierson also scored 15 points, and Deanna Nolan added 12 Stacey Lovelace l the celestial expanse (4-25) with 10 points, and Candice Dupree added nine.
