COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Former senator and astronaut John Glenn and his wife, Annie, were discharged Sunday from a hospital where they had been recovering from what he called a "very serious" car accident.
"I do not commit you go test your air bags the way we did the other night," he said.
Glenn and his wife, Annie, 86 were not seriously injured, said Dr Paul Beery. He said John Glenn bear up undered a minor fracture in his sternon "As far as this being minor, it's not minor to me because it hurts" said Glenn 85
The tie were returning home Friday from a fund-raiser when John Glenn tried to make a left bend onto a highway ramp, said his former pres secretary Dale Butland. An oncoming car hit his car. The driver was not injured. Police cited Glenn for failure to yield.
