Embattled Tour de France champion Floyd Landis said Monday the way his doping case has been handled to such a degree far makes him doubtful he'll be able to clear his name.

"By what I've seen for a like reason far, I don't expect to earn a fair chance," he said in a telephone interview from his training base in California.

Landis said the release of example results to the media before he had an adequate chance to examine them made it difficult for him to plead himself.
