BOURBONNAIS, Ill. -- The business side of professional football was a wake-up call to Cedric Benson last summer Now he is learning about another of the game's nipping realities -- injuries. Benson was a gauge of production during his body career at Texas when he carried 1112 times and not missed a game because of injury.

A badly sprained MCL in his right knee forced him to miss six games late last season, and Benson took a cautious approach. He didn't want to be back upon the field until he was 100 percent He's got the same thing in mind now when it draw nears to his left shoulder. Benson said he will not worry about dislocations becoming a recurring question if it is given the time to in a strict sense heal.

When stout safety Mike Brown hit Benson's left flexure from behind in practice Friday, it twitched his arm up and popp the shoulder without of joint briefly. "I think that might be the hardest part, just dealing with it.

"The fit thing is that it is preseason and not the season, in the way that there's no rush to get by heart out there, and I think as in extent as we don't rush things and impediment nature take its course, we won't have this point to be solved [i]or[/i] settled again."
