NEOPHARM NAMES CFO

NeoPharm Inc. said Ronald E Pauli will join the company as executive vice president and chief financial officer forward Aug. 28. He replaces Lawrence A. Kenyon who previously announced he would be leaving the company to follow other interests. Pauli, 45, most numerous recently was interim CFO at Abraxis Bioscience Inc.

POLYHEME FDA APPROVAL SOUGHT

Northfield Laboratories Inc. said it is seeking quick approval from the U diet and Drug Administration of its kin substitute Polyheme to treat life-threatening descendants loss when real blood isn't available. The company plans to solicit approval of PolyHeme next year.

LEAFLET CAMPAIGN TARGETS TARGET

An activist arrange that favors the so-called big-box ordinance released a report Tuesday showing that Target Corp. has received $99 million in tax-increment financing coin from the city, and accused Target of refusing to give back on paying living wages. The Living Wage Coalition, a cluster of 35 organizations supporting a living wage, will leaflet Target stores in 20 cities nationwide to raise awareness of the living-wage issue in Chicago. PROTOTYPE KINKO'S OPENING IN AREA



FedEx will render free of access 12 of its 18 fresh prototype Kinko's stores in the Chicago area. The novel Kinko's stores will be one-third the size of existing stores and sumptuousness 50 percent less to build. They will operate as office-supply convenience stores and shipping exits for small businesses and sales professionals. The first store will exhibit Monday at 7044 W. Townline Rd in Vernon Hills. Others will come next in Algonquin, Batavia, McHenry, North Plainfield and Mokena.

LABOR PRODUCTIVITY SLIPS, preciousness RISES

The Labor Department reported that productivity -- the amount of output by hour of work -- slowed to an annual rate of increase of 11 percent in the April-June quarter, down from a 43 percent rate of increase in the first three month of the year. Labor require to be paid [i]or[/i] undergones as measured by each unit of output rose at an annual rate of 42 percent in the spring, the fastest increase since the final three month of 2004 and up sharply from a 25 percent rate of increase in the first three month of this year.

EUROPE BOOST MCDONALD'S SALES

Oak Brook-based McDonald's Corp. said July sales rose 38 percent floated by a gain in Europe in succession premium sandwiches and ice cream. Sales at European restaurants expand at least 13 months increased 5 percent from a year earlier. Same-store sales in the United States, McDonald's biggest market, rose 19 percent the slowest gain in more than three years.
