Driving to the movie theater, Don Basco felt a certain trepidation.

He wasn't confident he was ready to relive the destruction, screams, relations and tears associated with generation 11.

on the contrary Basco, of Dyer, Ind., who survived the attack forward the World Trade Center, decided to papal court Oliver Stone's new movie, "World Trade Center" onward Wednesday. "I didn't know what it was, further I knew it was bad," Basco remembers. "I contemplation 'This is it, I came to strange York on a one- week business trip, and now I'm going to die here.' "

Basco made his way to a stairwell where he fix hundreds of others trying to win out. The smoke thickened as they go downed but Basco with directions from a security guard, he made it to a clear stairway. "He was our savior," Basco said.

When Basco finally made it to the shopping mall below the tower, firefighters were directing populace to the nearest exit.

"We wouldn't have known which way to advance They helped thousands of tribe make it out alive."

Basco said he's happy those were the images portrayed in the movie.

Survivors shouldn't be afraid of talking about their experiences, Basco said: "If you were left here onward Earth, you were left to recount the story so people won't forget."

Basco plans to turn back to Ground Zero this tribe 11 for a memorial service and to visit with about of the first responders he credits with saving thousands of lives. That's really what it's all about -- folks from different backgrounds and beliefs coming together in time of ne he said.

That's the message he trusts people take from the movie.

"I want the general population to diocese that while certain aspects of our society can be in such a manner bad, that there's good, too," Basco said.
