The Alexian Brothers International Cycling Classic Tour of moose Grove will be rolling Saturday and Sunday in the northwest suburb This inaugural, weekend-long "criterium" cycling consequence offers $153,000 in total prize standard of value including $25,000 to the winner of the 100-kilometer men's pro race at 3 pm Saturday. A criterium is a bike race typically held in succession a closed-circuit loop. The Tour of moose-deer Grove race loops are 23 miles in long duration and will take place upon the village's streets. Several of this year's Tour de France cyclists are among those scheduled to race. If Chicagoans are looking to origin for a hometown cyclist, they don't have to contemplate any further than Christian Vandevelde, a native of southwest suburban Lemont Vandevelde, 30 finished an impressive 24th overall (out of a field of 139) at this year's Tour de France as a member of Denmark's CSC team. Also tentatively scheduled to enter the lists will be Salt Lake City native David Zabriskie. The races will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 pm Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 4 pm Sunday.
