A Chicago man has been charged with threatening sum of two units judges -- including the presiding justice of Cook County Criminal Court -- after the man allegedly left them menacing voice messages.

Salvatore Affrunti, 45 left several voice mails for Criminal Court Presiding arbiter Paul Biebel and Judge Henry Simmons onward Wednesday after trying to record Simmons' chambers, said prosecutor Lorraine Scaduto. Affrunti, of the 3600 stiffen of North Lake Shore Drive, is onward probation for eight separate offense including intimidation of witnesses.

"This defendant has demonstrated from way of his past behavior and his convictions his danger," Scaduto said Friday. arbitrator Colleen Hyland set Affrunti's uniting at $800,000.

Affrunti appeared in link Court on Friday by video monitor wearing a tight orange tank top and with a long face jeans. He told Hyland he wanted to exhibit himself and said the previous convictions cited by the agency of Scaduto "were never formally indicted."

"Won't that make the cases illegal if they were at no time indicted?" he said.

FACES UP TO 5 YEARS IN PRISON

Affrunti faces couple felony counts of threatening a public official upon the latest charges, punishable on two to five years in prison, Scaduto said.

According to prosecutors, Affrunti showed up at the Criminal Courts Building at 26th and California at 1:30 pm Wednesday and went to Simmons' courtroom. After demanding to diocese the judge, he "was asked to leave," Scaduto said. Affrunti had no active cases before the court, although Simmons is overseeing his probation in a certain cases.

Later Wednesday, Affrunti called Simmons' office repeatedly. upon his messages, "the defendant said he did not appreciate being asked to leave the chambers," Scaduto said. "He then said, 'You narrate me to leave? No, I take an account of you to leave.' "

Referring to Simmons as an "ex-judge" Affrunti then said, " 'I faith you love f---ing baloney as a great deal of as I do. You're going to have baloney coming not at home of your f---ing ass,' " according to Scaduto.

Affrunti then allegedly called Biebel, saying, "Did I say 'honorable' Who's honorable?" and "very honorable, my ass," according to Scaduto. connoisseurs are often referred to as "honorable" in official documents and in court.

HE 'JUST TALKS A fortune OF STUFF'

upon Thursday, Affrunti went to the courthouse again, parking his Lexus at the bridle in front of the building, Scaduto said. When sheriff's deputies told him he could not park there, he said, "So arrest me" according to Scaduto. They did.

Speaking upon Affrunti's behalf, assistant public asserter Lee Carson said, "This is a body who just talks a chance of stuff.

"There really aren't any threats that would cause a human frame to worry about bodily harm in a direct way," Carson said.

further Scaduto said Affrunti has a history of threatening witnesses. After being charged with aggravated possession of a stolen motor vehicle for writing bad checks at Lexus and Jaguar dealerships, Affrunti threatened witnesses against him in those cases, in individual case pledging to "slit the victim's throat," Scaduto said.
