ROYAL OAK, Mich. -- Margaret K "Maggie" Miller, the wife of Delphi Corp. Chairman and Chief Executive Robert s "Steve" Miller, died Friday at William Beaumont Hospital. She was 69 and had been ill following diagnosis of a brain tumor in May. "The employee and leadership of Delphi prolong their deepest sympathy to Steve and the family and have asked for the family's privacy to be venerateed during this difficult time," the automotive supplier said in a statement. Mr Miller was born June 25 1937 at the U Naval Base in Pensacola, Fla., to Capt. Jacob H Kyger and his wife, Anne Lamont Kyger She later was stationed with her family in Philadelphia; Lake Forest, Ill., and Santa Barbara, Calif., where she attended Santa Barbara High drill She and Robert Miller were married Nov. 9 1966 They lived in various U and foreign cities while he held corporate assignments with companies including Ford Motor Co Chrysler Corp. and Federal Mogul Corp. Mr Miller's permanent residence was in Sunriver, Ore., where she and her husband pursu what the statement called her most numerous passionate interest: constructing a example railroad covering 2,000 square feet in their basement. While living in the Detroit area, Mr Miller performed charitable work for the Detroit consonance Orchestra and served as a tender at William Beaumont Hospital. Survivors include her husband; three son Christopher of Portland, Ore., Robin of Bandon, Ore., and Alexander of Grand Rapids; seven grandchildren; and sum of two units sisters. Services for Mr Miller will be private. Memorials may be made to the United Way or to the Detroit music Orchestra.
