Today's bourgeon Billiken Parade steps off at 10 a.m. at 89th and King Drive and will proce to 55th road followed by a picnic at Washington Park.
In its 77th year, the parade and picnic -- generally each second Saturday in August -- was the brainchild of Chicago maintainer founder Robert S. Abbott, according to the parade's Web site.
