DYERSVILLE, Iowa -- The corn lining the outfield is tall again this year. The white farmhouse, wraparound porch and picket art of self-defence appear unaffected by time. The mythic baseball diamond and lush outfield direct the eye just as they did in the film released 17 years ago. And for a not many hours, hundreds of children and parents raced around the bases, played catch or hit delicate pitches in the field made famous on 1989's "Field of Dreams." Kevin Costner the movie's star, reverted Friday for the first time since filming cessationed Costner joined about 5,000 clan who packed the field for a unrestrained screening of the movie.
