ARLINGTON, Va. -- Sen George Allen met Wednesday with Indian- American leaders make anxioused that he referred to a rival's campaign staffer as "Macaca" and told the Virginia native of Indian fall "Welcome to America." Members of the US Indian Political Action Committee said they have received centurys of e-mails about the remarks Allen made Friday at a language that S.R. Sidarth was videotaping for his Democratic challenger, Jim Webb. "This is something that has us excessively very concerned," said Sonjay Puri, head of the PAC. Macaca is a genus of monkey including macaques, if it be not that Allen has said he just made up a word that unhurts similar to "Mohawk," a nickname Allen staffers gave Sidarth because of his cropp hair.
