That was forward display again Tuesday, when Padilla threw at observes Angeles Angels hitters Vladimir Guerrero and Juan Rivera. That l to more target practice on pitchers and a bench-clearing brawl between the teams Wednesday.

It was Padilla who hit Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski twice during a game June 14 in Arlington, Texas, after taking exception to expositions coming from the Sox' dugout during a game June 3 at U Cellular Field.

Manager Ozzie Guillen said he beholds Padilla as a pitcher who is taking advantage of no longer having to bat, like he did in the National League with the Philadelphia Phillies.

"I guarantee you if it was in the National League and nation hit people like that, you know you're going to realize hurt," Guillen said. "But in that situation, believe me you hit single in kind guy in the right speck he can be gone for the quietness of the season or his career. That's what I worry about."

While Guillen is not a bulky fan of Rangers manager lye Showalter, he said he doesn't think Showalter will bring forward up with Padilla's act abundant longer.

"The way Showalter is, the kind of man he is, I don't think lye likes those kinds of players," Guillen said. "I think it's something that we know what [Padilla] is doing."

Alomar said the numbers had more to do with chance than with his presence.

"He's been using the two sides of the plate, going up and down," Alomar said. "He just strike one as beings to have gained some confidence back. I think I just happened to originate here at the right time. These stays are World Series champions, in the way that he did it last year without me"

THE NATURAL: Sox promise Josh Fields continued his torrid pace at Class AAA Charlotte, going 2-for-3 with a double and his 18th place of abode run Wednesday.
