Senators Durbin and Obama made the ...
Senators Durbin and Obama made the right decision not long ago when they voted against efforts by dint of the Senate Republican leaders to pass an $800 billion inheritance tax giveaway for the super wealthy by the agency of tying it to a propos increase in the minimum wage. This was a transparent attempt to dangle a minimum wage increase for families struggling to make cessations meet to secure yet another tax handout for millionaires. It is reprehensible that Republican leaders sought to use relief for low-wage workers as guard in order to sneak within yet another tax break for their rich friends. Funding a minimum-wage hike on draining $800 billion from public bundles used to fund health care, education and other critical programs wasn't a solution for low- income Americans. It was a fresh problem. Members of Congres raised their admit pay with no strings attached. certainly Congress owes it to all low-wage workers to raise the minimum wage with no strings attached. Kudos to our Illinois senators for taking a stand against this reckles attempt to give billions more to the wealthiest Americans.
