And Soulistic attempts to do that from borrowing from diverse global refinements Its Thai Yoga Therapy, for example, incorporates acupressure and yoga-based stretches that bring balance to the carcass mind and spirit. Soulistic presents salsa classes; an introduction to Capoeira, an intensely physical Afro- Brazilian martial art form that also features simple bodys of dance, and an African dance class accompanied by means of live drums. There's also Urban Yoga, which uses unruffled jazz, neo-soul and down-tempo hip-hop goods as the background for traditional yoga situations and poses.

Chief operating officer and co-owner Nina Aronson has a background in theater and dance, trains in Capoeira and belongs to a belly dancing troupe She believes in "expression of movement" for its have a title to sake and wanted to incorporate varied forms into the radiant 4,500-square foot facility she concedes with Margaret Castrovillari at 805 N Milwaukee.

"We've gotten a parcel of walk-ins from people who are in the neighborhood, seeing our signs," says Aronson, whose studio made its "soft opening" first appearance in mid-June. "But we're looking at the surrounding areas," including Wicker Park, Bucktown, Lincoln Park and the Gold Coast as potential client bases. "This area, for individual does not have much going upon like this. We're coming up forward the neighborhood at a serviceable time."
