MINNEAPOLIS -- After struggling with all sorts of questions this season, former White Sox pitcher Cliff Politte finally received one answers.

According to the right-handed reliever, he had surgery forward Thursday to repair a rotator buffet that was 40 percent torn and had more bone goads than were originally anticipated remov from the shoulder area. The surgery was a succes and Politte said he and his doctor await him to be completely healthy by way of the spring.

"When I came hearth after the Sox let me go on I had interest from a not many teams," Politte said in a telephone interview.

"I kept trying to twist together and the pain got worse and worse. in this way I decided to shut it down and achieve a few other opinions."

Politte, who was designated for assignment forward July 15 after a career year in 2005 struggl with the Sox in '06 posting a 2-2 record and 870 ERA in 30 games.
