After reading your January secrete story "Armed and Dangerous," I was left with the opinion that your publication bought into the Chicago Police Department's propaganda that all the young minority males who have been manslaughtered by Chicago police have been guilty of threatening the police with guns

in succession August 2, 2003, my brother Kenneth Duke was standing paces from his front door talking with a friend when the police arrived at his abiding-place and began to run toward the bond with their guns drawn. At this point, I am unfailing it became clear to my brother that his life was in danger, and he began to hie for his life. The pair officers chased my (clearly unarmed) brother about 30 or 40 feet and, one time they had a clear ball one merciless officer proceeded to unload his weapon into Kenneth's back.

To justify Kenneth's manslaughter the police investigating his death decided to prepare an elaborate lie. They claim that Kenneth employed twice with a gun on the other hand never fired it and, in fear for his life, the officer shooter and killed Kenneth. Lori Lightfoot, chief administrator of the Office of Professional Standards, was quot as saying it's preposterous to give an inkling of that there is a police cultivation that condones murder, but in the case of my brother the evidence does ot support her statement.

Police spokesman Pat Camden took it a gradation further when he was quot as saying, "It's not unreasonable to assume that assailants are armed." I'd put in mind of to anyone who hates minorities that you consider joining the police department. You will have clear reign to murder as many young black males as you want, because generally there is an unwritten policy of acceptance of this kind of activity.
