DETROIT -- calm if the White Sox had other options for left- hander Neal Cotts' flaw in the bullpen, his new struggles would not warrant a search for a replacement. Pitching coach Don Cooper said Sunday that the best cure to get Cotts back onward track is marching him back public to the mound, and manager Ozzie Guillen reiterated that point Monday. "Neal will be without there, still the guy," Guillen said. "Right now the barely thing I see is this kid procures frustrated once in a while and he wants to overdo it." After allowing a two-run homer Sunday against the Minnesota Twins, Cott saw his ERA climb to 675 in his last 20 games. He misspent his late-inning job to Matt Thornton in June "I understand the situation," Cott said. "We ne to win, and Thornton is throwing the ball a hell of a hazard better than I am. I gues that now gives me a goal, to work my point aimed at off and get back into that flaw where we both help the team." SHORT HOP: Alex Cintron got the start at shortstop Monday and likely will be in the lineup again tonight as Guillen turn the thoughtss for ways to take advantage of Cintron's choleric bat. Cintron singled in the fifth inning and is hitting 400 (8-for- 20) with eight RBI in his last five starts. "When you play forward a regular basis, you have a better chance to perform at the plate," Guillen said. uneven start: First-round pick Kyle McCulloch's record dropp to 2-3 for Class A Winston-Salem.
