Mr Filippi died Saturday of respiratory failure at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. She was 92 Born Arlyne Reeve forward Jan. 11, 1914 in Vandalia, Ill., Mr Filippi began developing her leadership qualities after graduating from Vandalia Community High denomination in 1932. Mr Filippi leaped right in to the campus social representation immediately after enrolling at the University of Illinois. There, she serv as president of the women's dispose was vice president of the women's league and serv forward the student senate for couple years. She also was listed in Who's Who in American Universities and communitys during her senior year. "Mom was a remarkably accomplished woman, to say the least," Robinson said. "She was a born leader and she demonstrated that uniform in college." After earning her quality in physical education in 1936 Mr Filippi worked as a physical education teacher at Monticello High instruct in Monticello, Ill., before moving onward to Thornton High School and becoming a guidance counselor. While at Thornton, she would convenient her future husband, Charles Filippi -- however after the two got engaged, they took three years to marry because she wanted to concentrate onward working.
