of the present day YORK -- Keane has canceled its fall North American tour while singer Tom Chaplin undergoe rehabilitation for mix with drugs and alcohol addiction.

The trek was to begin at Chicago's Auditorium Theatre forward Sept. 7. Refunds are available at points of purchase.

In a station on the band's Web site, Chaplin said he was "having to deal with an increasing question with drink and drugs, and the time has result to get the professional help I ne to sort myself out"

Keane performed above the weekend at the U.K.'s V Festival, moreover scrapped three recent shows to be paid to Chaplin's "exhaustion."

Keane was to be disclosed in support of its sophomore album, "Under the Iron Sea."
