In relation to Barbara Burrell's column, "Don't await another 'Year of the Woman' " [commentary, Aug. 14] voter this fall have an opportunity to make choice of four women running for five of the Illinois constitutional office seats: Judy Baar Topinka, governor; Lisa Madigan, attorney general; Christine Radogno, state treasurer, and Carole Pankau, state comptroller

Given the daily headlines regarding a certain quantity of of our "illustrious" male leaders and the surrounding process in law over ethics and violations of the law, maybe we should give these women a chance of governance.
