SUSPECT CAUGHT IN MEXICO

A Hoffman Estates man wanted for assassinate since 1994 has been arrested in Mexico after a confidential informant make go rounded him in. Hugo Zarco, 22 was look fored to arrive back in Hoffman Estates Friday after he was deported by dint of Mexican authorities and arrested by the agency of the FBI Thursday in Houston, Hoffman Estates police Lt Rich Russo said. An arrest warrant for Zarco's arrest was issued shortly after he allegedly stabbed and killed then 16-year-old Michael Bruce of Hoffman Estates, in May of 1994 Bruce had been arguing with Zarco's sister at a party forward the 100 block of Berkley Lane in the northwest suburb Zarco came to the party later and allegedly stabbed Bruce with a kitchen knife in assurance of several onlookers, police said. POLICE ISSUE ALERT IN SHOOTING



Chicago police have issued a community alert for a suspect wanted for questioning in connection with the fatal shooting of a 27-year- elderly man in his Near Northwest Side family circle early Friday. Edward M. Kurland was projectile to death at 2537 N California Ave. about 2:45 a.m. Friday, according to police and the color County Medical Examiner's office. According to a report from the police First agent Superintendent's office, a witness saw couple men at the rear of the dwelling and told Kurland, who went to stand opposed them and was shot in the chest. The couple men then fled. Kurland was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 3:17 a.m. forward Friday afternoon, the Area Five Detective Division issued a chalk out and description of a man sought for questioning in the case.
