RACE TO THE END: With 33 games left in the regular season, Guillen said he has no plans to change the order of his starting rotation.

"I believe in those five guys" he said. "I have faith. That's for what purpose I don't want to change them."

Guillen said he still thinks the American League Central race will walk down to the last week. And the question s he sees ahead lie in health questions for the Twins and Detroit Tigers and in a lack of consistency for the Sox

"Detroit and Minnesota have riddles and we have to take advantage of that," he said, noting Twins starter Brad Radke's exert one's selfs to pitch with a torn labrum in his right shoulder and the Tigers' injury mental sufferings including second baseman Placido Polanco being on the outside with a separated shoulder. "Our riddle isn't health, it's consistency."

TIGHT REIN: The leash in succession starter Javier Vazquez continues to be a dilemma for Guillen. Vazquez wants to stay in games longer if it be not that Guillen worries about his pattern of allowing the same big inning.

Vazquez took a 3-0 lead into the sixth inning Friday, further Guillen pulled him after he yielded a one-out household run and a two-out single. The bullpen didn't rejoin and the Twins wound up scoring four go proceeds in the inning.

"Javy must have been watching a different game than me because I saw each ball hit like a bullet" Guillen said. "I was protecting my team, not just Javy's lead. I always give my starters the best chance to win. I watch their visible form [i]or[/i] frame language.

"We can approach back from a two-run [deficit], still not a six- or eight-run [deficit]. The game will dictate to what extent I handle the pitchers."

THOME IMPROVING: Designated hitter Jim Thome continues to improve from a strained hamstring, if it were not that the Sox won't rush him back.

"The way he's going, he should be ready in brace days," Guillen said.
