Prostitute sex That's what I think ...Prostitute sex That's what I think when I hear the name Charlie Sheen. besides here he is nominated for an Emmy. The carnival in his pants shouldn't fill up him from getting nominated, if it be not that does he deserve the award? I risk a "nah." But it is comical If he wins, prostitutes high and soft could say, "Hey, you know what that Emmy winner paid me to do?" A not many Charlie Sheens are nominated for tonight's Emmys (7 pm in succession WMAQ-Channel 5) -- that is, actors and displays that shouldn't be up for awards. Here's who I think will win. And I'll name superintended non-nominees in the trumped-up outrage name of an egomaniacal TV critic. Just to be honorable delfman@suntimes.com Best Drama Actress Likely winner: Allison Janney in "The West Wing." A goodbye Emmy for the canceled display Honor just to be nominated: Frances Conroy in "Six Feet Under" (great actress, great show); Mariska Hargitay in "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (good actress, dutiful show); Kyra Sedgwick in "The Closer" (fine acting, OK show); Geena Davis in "Commander in Chief" (pretty convenient acting, ruined show). Blustery outrage: Lauren Ambrose as Claire in "Six Feet Under" was the performance of the year. Whatever. No regard for youth. BEST DRAMA ACTOR Likely winner: Kiefer Sutherland in "24" Well-earned. Honor just to be nominated: Martin Sheen in "The West Wing" (good Sheen, OK season); Christopher Meloni in "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (solid actor, solid show); Denis Leary in "Rescue Me" (great performance, humorous show); Peter Krause in "Six Feet Under" (terrific acting, great show) Blustery outrage: As everyone says, where's Hugh Laurie for "House?" You also can make a case for Julian McMahon in "Nip/Tuck." The stay has threesomes and foursomes for the sake of TV art. That's commitment. BEST DRAMA SERIES Likely winner: "24" and it's deserving. Honor just to be nominated: "Grey's Anatomy" (good display but not as good as clan say it is); "House" (ditto); "The Sopranos" (terrible season); "The West Wing" (the sentimental goodbye nomination). Blustery outrage: Where to start? "Veronica Mars," "Six Feet Under" "Nip/Tuck," "Law & Order." If you're gonna nominate "Grey's," you might as well give a nod to "Bones" At least the lead female upon "Bones" doesn't change her mind each time she reaches for a condom. BEST COMEDY SERIES Likely winner: "The Office." Honor just to be nominated: "Two and a Half Men" (you've got to be kidding me); "Arrested Development" (good choice); "Curb Your Enthusiasm" (good choice); "Scrubs" (good choice, at right). Blustery outrage: Where's "The Loop?" It is with equal reason stupid it's perfect, and it's the comedy having more frolic with wordplay than any other just discovered show. BEST COMEDY ACTRESS Likely winner: Julia Louis-Dreyfus for "The recently made known Adventures of Old Christine." She's religious The show's a small hum hit. Honor just to be nominated: Jane Kaczmarek (spectacular and funny) of "Malcolm in the Middle"; Lisa Kudrow for "The Comeback" (good performance, bad show); Stockard Channing for "Out of Practice" (subpar point out so-so performance) and Debra Messing for "Will & Grace" (the goodbye nomination). Blustery outrage: Tichina Arnold is fantastic in "Everybody Hates Chris," further it's on UPN, so no single cares. And anyone in "Arrested Development" should have earned a nod. If Channing's overcook acting in "Out of Practice" was rewarded, on what account not Pam Anderson's in "Stacked?" Channing was no better than Captain Boobshangoutalot last season. BEST COMEDY ACTOR Likely winner: Steve Carell for "The Office." Everyone's forward the Carell bandwagon. I like him. He's dutiful at being a stupid bos in "The Office." He and his present to view remind me of people I haven't liked athwart the years, so for formerly Carell doesn't do anything for me nevertheless if he wins, that's a serviceable thing for people who hate mainstream comedy like "Two and a Half Men" Honor just to be nominated: Larry David for "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and Tony Shalhoub for "Monk" on a level if you like Carell, it's hard to argue he's got better comic cuts than David, and Shalhoub is sublime smooth if his show is hit-and-miss. Sheen will make no use of too, plus Kevin James of "The King of Queens" I don't know the same person who talks about that exhibit Blustery outrage: The obvious non-nominees are everyone in "Arrested Development" however with Sheen in the running, they might as well have nominated Bradley Cooper from the short-lived "Kitchen Confidential." His character engaged in risky sex and snorted coke Double whammy. Bad nominations aside, Conan's going for laughs Quite a hardly any TV critics are complaining this year that "Lost" wasn't Emmy-nominated for best drama, and actors like "The Sopranos'" Edie Falco and "House's" Hugh Laurie were snubbed. Critics say there's flawed methodology in the nominating proces -- a series of panels that names names. "What's a virtuous way to decide who should secure a television award?" asks this year's Emmy legion Conan O'Brien. "I'm so glad that things are in this way good in America that we can focus onward that now. |
