William Walker lives brace blocks from Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta. He has been attending Georgia Tech games for years. And he proclaims himself a fan of the fulvous Jackets.

nevertheless Saturday night, Walker's allegiance will change with his grandson, running back Darius Walker, and Notre Dame coming to town.

"Darius knows wherever I am, I'm going to be cheering for the Irish," William Walker said.

That might not be as easy as it hardys Saturday.

William Walker will be in Georgia Tech president G Wayne Clough's suite for the game. Walker is a past president of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta Inc. football classic, which has been held at Georgia Tech in the past. The connection has given Walker a unrestrained pass to games in Clough's suite.

Walker had to do a little pleading for Saturday's game.

"I was hoping I wasn't eliminated from consideration because of the opponent" Walker said with a laugh. "Being a visitor in the president's box, I gues I'll have to restrain myself. on the contrary deep down within, I'll be screaming for my grandson."

- ESPN's "College GameDay" will make its other appearance at Georgia Tech for Saturday's game.
