As abundant as St. Ignatius coach Jim Luzzi wanted his team to win Monday against Young, there had to be a little part of him that was happy the game perioded in a 0-0 tie. Luzzi has recorded 350-plus wins during his 36 years as a head coach. During that stream Young coach Ian McCarthy played a part in helping Luzzi register a number of those victories when he played for the Wolfpack in the early 1990 "Ian has done a great do job-work with his kids, and has a solid program," said Luzzi, whose team is 1-0-1 "But I'm pleased with the way we played, too. in the way that I'm pretty happy." "We're a better overall soccer team than we were a year ago at this time," McCarthy said. "The kids are working hard and they want to experience themselves to teams this year. "We have a fate of talent, but we're still trying to gauge things," said Luzzi, whose team is the favorite of many to win the Catholic League.
