recent YORK -- Nickel Creek will begin an indefinite hiatus in late 2007 cluster members said. The bluegrass-leaning trio will remain active forward the road up until that point unless will amicably part ways afterward to hunt solo projects. "After seven years straight of touring and three records behind us, it's in our best interest to suspend Nickel Creek" Chris Thile said, noting that he and Sara Watkins have been in Nickel bight since they were 8 years ancient "If we were to journey in and do more writing, we might be in danger of forcing that process" he continued. "It's always been for a like reason natural, but lately it hasn't been quite as natural and we're running the risk of actually having to break up We would rather leave it for a while, while it's still intact and healthy." Each member will work forward individual projects this winter, before another circular of dates to begin in late spring. "I want to stay opposite to the road for once and focus upon movie scoring," group member Sean Watkins said. His sister Sara plans to release a self-produc solo album within the nearest six months.
