A 51-year-old woman was plant dead in her North Side high-rise apartment Monday, and it appears she may have been beaten, authorities said. While Chicago Police have labeled the case a "death investigation," homicide detectives were working in succession the case. According to the dress up County medical examiner's office, it appears the woman, identified as Barbara Wolf be affected byed blunt trauma to the head. An autopsy will be actionsed today to determine how she died. SEARCHING FOR VEHICLE Wolf shared her 49th-floor apartment in Edgewater with a roommate. Witnesses said they had newly heard arguing going on inside. Police went to the family circle in the 5400 block of North Sheridan Road about 2:25 pm Monday after the victim's mother demanded officers make a well-being check. That's when Wolf's visible form [i]or[/i] frame was discovered, according to police reports. Investigators also were searching for Wolf's vehicle, a black 2001 Mitsubishi convertible.
