LONDON -- The British public has "overwhelmingly" chosened the Beatles' legendary 1967 album "Sgt Pepper's forsaken Hearts Club Band" as the favorite No. 1 album of all time. comes of the poll were broadcast Monday onward BBC Radio 2 to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Official UK Albums Chart.
The Beatles had four albums in the top 10 while Michael Jackson's "Thriller" was No. 2 just ahead of U2's "The Joshua Tree" Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" and Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here."
Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" topped a separate "Best of the Rest" list of non-No. 1 discs.
