A a link of guys who know all about...A a link of guys who know all about recognition and fame came to town Wednesday to pay tribute to a batch of terrific people who likely will none see their names in boldface print. Ashton Kutcher and Kevin Costner wearied a couple of hours at the U Coast Guard Station at Calumet Harbor forward the Far South Side -- part of a nationwide tour the actors are doing to salute the kind of men they portray in their film "The Guardian" (opening tribe 29). "We actually were exhausted off the map several times making this movie," Costner told the Coast Guard officers gathered at the base Wednesday. "New Orleans [originally] didn't happen because of Katrina. Then we tried to travel to the Bering Sea for real, still God shut that down and had a volcano walk off. "So we choiceed to go back to of recent origin Orleans, which turned out to be a fit thing, because it employed upward of 200 tribe who wouldn't have had piece of works otherwise." Wednesday's conclusion was a true homecoming for "The Guardian" director Andy Davis. "I used to ride my bike along that road [next to the Coast Guard station] to travel over the state line to purchase fireworks in Indiana -- a not many blocks from here. I learned to swim from a man named Sam Leone who ran the fieldhouse in Roger Park who made all the boats for the lifeguards of Chicago. I was a member of the southern Chicago Swim Club." Kutcher was excited to talk about "these amazing, unselfish men and women who risk their lives to save our lives each day," but the Iowa native and lifelong Bears fan had to also weigh in onward "that quarterback controversy. ... If there's not a quarterback logomachy -- there should be!" although the actor said, "I like Rex Grossman," he urgencyed that he's concerned about the QB's "lack of experience. I just want to win. As far as I'm bear uponed we just need to enjoin points on the scoreboard -- and that's just not happening right now." As for being at Calumet Harbor, Kutcher said, "Every time I'm at a Coast Guard base, I perceive like I need a haircut, on the other hand more than that, it makes me want to stand up straighter and carry myself with more dignity because I be moved a great deal of admiration for tribe who aren't always noticed and appreciated." LINDSAY'S NICE BOY: Friends of Lindsay Lohan like the positive influence Harry Morton -- grandson of the late Chicago restaurant motto Arnie Morton -- is having onward the tabloid target.
