The 1978 game isn't the solitary memorable meeting -- or impulsive power -- involving Notre Dame and Georgia Tech The Irish lead the all-time series 26-5-1 1953 Top-ranked Notre Dame beat No. 4 Georgia Tech 27-14 to period the Yellow Jackets' winning streak at 31 games.
