As the strange school year dawns, ...As the strange school year dawns, the reliances and dreams of some Chicago Public exercises parents are invested in 12 "charter" seminarys making their debut. Charters are small place of educations run by private, nonprofit entities that have greater freedom and autonomy in fiscal estimate and curriculum than other public teachs They also are not required to hire union teachers. The general [i]or[/i] abstract notion arrived in Chicago in the fall of 1997 when the first five CP charter teachs opened. Today, there are 47 similar CPS schools operated by 27 organizations.
