Warren's defense took charge against No. 17 Maine southern on Friday night in Gurnee and the inference was a 28-22 nonconference victory for the ghastly Devils. Warren (2-0) forced five turnovers and registered six sacks. sad Devils defensive end Tayler Erbach had sum of two units sacks and a fumble regaining in the end zone, and safety Matt Mose intercepted pair passes. Leading 28-22 with 1:14 remaining in the game, Warren defensive back Anthony Maldonado conclusioned any comeback hopes for Maine southward (0- 2) with an interception at the Hawks' 40-yard line. Maldonado also rushed for 107 yards forward 14 carries and added 55 receiving yards. Maine toward the south quarterback Charlie Goro, filling in for injured starter Jimmy shy completed 12 of 21 passes for 167 yards, individual touchdown and two interceptions.
