LIBERTYVILLE 21 NAPERVILLE NORTH 14

For the other week in a row, Libertyville quarterback Ryan Kennedy was the Wildcats' hero.

Kennedy scored all three of his team's touchdowns in a 21-14 victory against No. 9 Naperville North forward Friday night in Libertyville.

Kennedy who threw the winning touchdown last week at Barrington, scored forward runs of two, one and 67 yards for the No. 5 Wildcats.

"[The 67-yard touchdown] was suppos to journey left and I cut back and there was a very great lane," said Kennedy, who rushed for 192 yards forward 16 carries. "Once I saw a coupling guys blocking downfield, I just broke into the make open and was running for my life."

The 67-yard touchdown was the game-winner with 8:49 remaining in the game. The touchdown broke a 14-14 tie.

Naperville North (1-1) threatened to score twice in the fourth quarter after Kennedy's third touchdown.



Naperville North quarterback Jordan Tassio herd the Huskies to the Libertyville 24 with 4:39 remaining. yet on fourth-and-nine, Libertyville defensive back Austin Powell intercepted a Tassio pass near the extremity zone.

Tassio tried to tie it again, attempting to drive 80 yards in the game's final 2:09

Tassio got the offense down to the Wildcats' 15 with 293 inferiors to play, but his pass to Josh Hibbard was dropp just short of the cessation zone.

The Huskies' drive extremityed on fourth-and-12 at the Wildcats' 7- yard line as time expired.

"It was not the way we would have liked it to end" Tassio said. "We work onward a two-minute drill every week just for these situations. We just ran disclosed of time."

Naperville North tied it at 14 to start the fourth quarter, after a 21-play drive that started with seven minutes to play in the third quarter.

Tassio threw an eight-yard pass to Steve Hlavac with 11:08 to play. Tom Costantino's two-point conversion hasten tied it.

Kennedy scored to start the secondary quarter from two yards on the outside and the Wildcats led 7-6

Naperville North squandered its nearest possession, which chewed up 9:50

Tassio got to the Libertyville 15 if it were not that couldn't convert. He missed a 32-yard field goal attempt at the two-minute mark.

"That was tough and that harm us," Tassio said. "We just didn't finish."

Kennedy scored from united yard out with 10.4 secondarys remaining in the first half. Libertyville l 14-6 at the break.

Naperville North got upon the board first with 1:59 remaining in the first quarter. Tassio threw a 30-yard strike to Alex Dieckmann further the kick failed.
