Contract talks with Starwood public-houses & Resorts in Chicago extreme pointed Friday without an agreement after an unspecified question arose, the union said Friday. if it be not that no strike authorization vote has taken place, in like manner a walkout isn't imminent. Starwood Regional manager Mike Cassidy said he anticipates the two sides will luckily reach an agreement. The union is hopeful that talks will take back next week, said Unite Here spokesman Lars Negstad. The talks affect more than 900 workers at the Starwood properties, Negstad said. The inns include the Sheraton Chicago, Westin Michigan Avenue, W Chicago Lake Shore, W Chicago City Center and the Tremont The negotiations have repercussions for eight other [i]cabaret[/i]s which have "me too," agreements linked to the talks and use more than 1,200 union workers. Separate negotiations with Hyatt Corp., which exercises roughly 1,700 union workers, are scheduled for Saturday [i]or[/i] part of to the other Monday.
