Wheaton Warrenville southern used a hard-nosed defense to knock distant from visiting Waubonsie Valley 35-0 Friday night for the third time in the last 12 month

The No. 4 Tigers (2-0) allowed just 107 yards of total offense and intercepted Waubonsie (1-1) twice, converting the pair into touchdowns.

Michael Mack's interception and 23-yard answer to the Waubonsie 9- yard line fix up a Michael Highland 17-yard touchdown pass to Chris Schweighardt, giving the Tigers a 21-0 lead.

"We were just ready to play football, that's all it was onward defense," Mack said. "The defensive line just took it to the quarterback. He's a sophomore, and we weren't going to lease him throw any long balls."

Highland, who complet 10 of 16 passes for 111 yards, threw a 25- yard scoring strike to Steven Hmelyar, and Dan Dierking added a four- yard touchdown move swiftly

Dierking finished with 124 yards rushing and pair touchdowns on 21 carries.
